Twenty-20 comes to Kollywood

Looks like Moser Baer has got a magic releasing Home Videos. Once, they launch the videos of famous flicks, they’re soon on the heels of getting remade.

It was more illustrious with ‘Jab We Met’ and Moser Baer; the production house itself is remaking it with Bharath and Thamannah in lead roles.

Now, things to be more similar with Malayalam movie ‘Twenty-20’ that happens to the recent release of Moser Baer in home videos….

Aye! The film’s home video sales was blooming right on the first set with copies getting sold within fraction of moments hitting the stores. It has been revealed that Producer H. Murali of Classic Creators who earlier produced ‘Avvai Shanmugi’, and is currently producing Namitha-starrer ‘Jagan Mohini’ has bagged the remake rights for a record price. Discussions are going on with leading actors and actresses in town and soon official announcements would be made.

Actress Tamanna has no time for Tollywood

After her consecutive hits like Padikkathavan and Ayan, Tamanna becomes the numero uno heroine in Kollywood. Now she has signed two more new projects in Tamil for a whopping salary.

To maintain her position in Tamil, Tamanna is rejecting many offers from Telugu, as she had said earlier. “I am doing two Tamil films currently and talks are going for two more,” said the actress. Her current projects are Payya and Kandein Kadalai.

She is stepping into Kareena Kapoor’s shoes in the Tamil remake of the Bollywood hit Jab We Met, titled Kandein Kadhalai.

What’s happening on the Tollywood front? “I am getting offers from Telugu directors, but can’t spare the dates. Recently I rejected a couple of big offers in Telugu,” said the actress.

Now her Tamil films are going to hit in Telugu screens as dubbed versions.

Actor Krishna next movie ‘Kattradhu Kalavu’

Producer Pattiyal Sekar, who was earlier supposed to producer a film to be directed by Five Star Krishna, has apparently dropped the project. Instead, he has chosen to produce another film with his son Krishna in the lead, which will be directed by ad filmmaker Balaji.

Five Star Krishna, who played an important role in ‘Arindhum Ariyamalum’ as Navdeep’s friend, was supposed to debut as a director in a film in which actor Krishna was to play the lead. To be produced by dad Pattiyal Sekar, the film had actress Vijayalakshmi in the lead.

Following a reported disagreement between the producer and Five Star Krishna, it is learnt that the film will be directed now by ad filmmaker Balaji. Two titles have been registered for the film: ‘Thiru 420’ and ‘Kattradhu Kalavu’.

Pattiyal Sekar is the father of noted director Vishnuvardhan and had earlier produced ‘Alibaba’, which launched his other son Krishna as the hero. This proposed project will be Krishna’s second film.
